Nancy, on Family Health Needs
March 19, 2009
“If it wasn’t for this clinic, I wouldn’t be able to get the health care I need.”
I have a daughter with cerebral palsy who is 26 years old and just got a feeding tube. I also have a 6-year-old son who is autistic and lives in a group home. Both of my kids have a medical card, but they said I make $100 too much to get one.
I can’t lessen my hours at work or I won’t be able to pay my bills. That’s why I come to the clinic, so I can be healthy to support my kids. If it wasn’t for this clinic, I wouldn’t be able to get the health care I need.
